Waging Peace

A Very Friendly Battle

Sure, we all need words to get through a day, let alone to undertake something major like Waging Peace. The real shame is that many people stay with only words and never get to action.

A few posts ago, I showed info from the site, http://www.aforcemorepowerful.org/game/index.php , which has a game that teaches non-violent tactics. I've become way more than enamoured about this simulator!! I've become near-obsessed with the potential it contains.

The game (simulation) comes with 10 senarios, all based on real life instances of non-violent solutions to crisis situations.

It also has an editor so you can create your own senarios! One of the first I want to try is women learning how to meet men's violence with non-violence, rather than just rolling over or perpetrating more violence...

This whole concept of Non-Violence is so intriguing, I really wonder how I missed delving into it years ago...

Dear Drifter,

I feel no exasperation. I only wish to focus on practical methods to attain Peace.

Your words are drawn from deep wells of wisdom but many people have never learned how to reduce them to methods and means of daily living.

I hope you clearly noticed that I've never censored your offerings.

I can only hope you'll stick around and show us how to take High Wisdom and apply it to our very Mundane lives...

Is this illogical?
Logic is the process/methodology leading to knowledge, for those who have the capacity (eyes & ears), no?
I sense exasperation.
I will no longer post to this discussion, my apologies Alex.

Is it possible for you to post something less "Abstract"?

Self-Realization is realizing there is no doer.
Deeds are done, by no one.
The false/Illusion is the ego, that is delusion.
When One realizes The Truth of that statement, peace and wel being will manifest as the by-product, of It's own accord. What we are as Spirit is in this world but not of it. Just as the painting is not the painter, though the painter is in the picture, the son is not the Father, though the Father is in the son, the daughter is not the Mother, though the Mother is in the daughter, the creature is not the Creator though the Creator is in and flows through His Creature. If there is no concept of doer how can there be the concept of free-will, this stumbling block needs to be removed to allow the Oneness, as "I AM the Light of the world" to shine through. The pervasive darkness of ignorance, which is ego will prevail until we are awakened to that Truth.
Read 'Intuitively' "The Allegory of Plato's Cave" and it may be realized that what the wise have been telling us all along, is true, if we just "listen".
The point again is self inquiry.
When you've done the work yourself, you can pass the torch to others who then can free themselves.
Find out what you're not. Then you will know what you are.
Know what I mean...........;-)
This Is heaven on Earth, if we make it that way, if we don't, it's hell. =-)

Well, that post was a "little" more on topic...

Ya know, all your spiritual ponderings are wonderful but it would be nice if you could focus on the ones that would facilitate Peace on Earth--in the sense of real-life Actions that everyone can take to realize, in their day-to-day lives, solid, practical increases in Peace and Well-Being...
Know what I mean.........?

Don't worry be happy.

Also Meher Baba said:

One day in the 1960s Meher Baba shared with those close ones gathered around him in Mandali Hall that his Avataric Gift to humanity is that of "intuition." Don Stevens was present on that occasion and has not forgotten the power of Baba's statements about intuition which followed up on Baba's rather casual delivery of this news. We read in Discourses, The Avatar (Volume III, p.p.13-14) where Baba has stated, "Avataric periods are like the spring-tide of creation. They bring a new release of power, a new awakening of consciousness, a new experience of life-not merely for a few, but for all. Qualities of energy and awareness, which had been used and enjoyed by only a few advanced souls, are made available for all humanity. Life, as a whole, is stepped up to a higher level of consciousness, is geared to a new rate of energy. The transition from sensation to reason was one such step; the transition from reason to intuition will be another."

Dear Drifter,
I'm allowing your comments out of a feeling of fairness.

Still, they are, beyond any judgement of spiritual correctness, off-topic for this forum...

God gave the mind, society "conditioned it".
Mind is the ethreal netherland of the ego and the soul.

Who first coined the phrase "I'd rather rule on earth than serve in heaven? Ego. Where ego, I go.
We (The I AM) have been enslaved by this delusion since Mom and Dad pointed in the mirror at us and said "Look
Dear, That's Johnny/Julie", and we have been 'bejeweled' by the specktackle of "self" ever since.
Only when we wipe the dross from the mirror does the eye see The I AM, That I AM, clearly. Being One with That.

Material development may be likened to the glass of a lamp, whereas divine
virtues and spiritual susceptibilities are the light within the glass. The
lamp chimney is worthless without the light; likewise, man in his material
condition requires the radiance and vivification of the divine graces and
merciful attributes. Without the presence of the Holy Spirit he is lifeless.
Although physically and mentally alive, he is spiritually dead. Christ
announced, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born
of the Spirit is spirit," meaning that man must be born again. As the babe
is born into the light of this physical world, so must the physical and
intellectual man be born into the light of the world of Divinity.

In brief, I hold within My grasp whatsoever any man might wish of the good
of this world and of the next. Were I to remove the veil, all would
recognize Me as their Best Beloved, and no one would deny Me. Let not this
assertion astound Your Majesty; inasmuch as a true believer in the unity of
God who keepeth his eyes directed towards Him alone, will regard aught else
but Him as utter nothingness. I swear by God! I seek no earthly goods from
thee, be it as much as a mustard seed. Indeed, to possess anything of this
world or of the next would, in My estimation, be tantamount to open
blasphemy. For it ill beseemeth the believer in the unity of God to turn his
gaze to aught else, much less to hold it in his possession. I know of a
certainty that since I have God, the Ever-Living, the Adored One, "I Am, the
possessor of all things, visible and invisible.
